WowKeren - Tahun ini merupakan masa keemasan bagi grup band country Lady Antebellum. Setelah memimpin nominasi di American Music Awards 2010, grup pelantun single "Our Kind of Love" ini kembali mendominasi di ajang penghargaan American Country Awards.

Seperti dikutip dari website resmiTheacas.com, Lady Antebellum meraih tujuh nominasi diantaranya Artist of the Year, Single of the Year untuk lagu "Need You Now" dan Music Video of the Year untuk single "Need You Now". Selain grup band asal Nashville ini, penyanyi baru Easton Corbin juga meraih tujuh nominasi di ajang American Country Awards.

Menyusul setelah Easton, Carrie Underwood meraih enam nominasi. Nantinya Carrie akan kembali bersaing ketat Taylor Swift yakni untuk kategori Female Artist of the Year dan Artist of the Year.

Mulai Senin 18 Oktober, para penggemar musik country dapat berpartisipasi dalam voting pemenang American Country Awards di situs theacas.com . Voting akan dibuka hingga 8 November. Namun untuk kategori Artis of the Year, proses voting akan ditutup 4 Desember. Menurut rencana, American Country Awards yang digelar di MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Senin 6 Desember, akan disiarkan secara langsung oleh Stasiun TV FOX.

"Tidak seperti ajang penghargaan musik country lainnya, American Country Awards akan memberikan kekuatan pada penggemar untuk memilih semua pemenang yang artinya ajang ini akan mencerminkan apa yang orang Amerika dengarkan dan saksikan saat ini," eksekutif produser Bob Bain. "American Country Music Awards akan menampilkan kategori tradisional seperti Artist of the Year dan Album of the Year tetapi juga akan memperkenalkan penghargaan baru untuk tur dan video yang menghasilkan satu malam yang sangat menakjubkan untuk musik country."
