WowKeren - Andy Lau dan Shu Qi dinominasikan untuk penghargaan Golden Horse Awards 2011. Dalam penghargaan ke-48 tersebut Andy Lau dinominasikan sebagai Best Leading Actor untuk filmnya yang berjudul "A Simple Life" (2011).

Andy Lau sendiri ketika dikonfimasi mengatakan gembira dengan pengumuman itu. Ia mengungkapkan bahwa film tersebut memang sarat akan emosi.

"Banyak emosi yang dituangkan dalam film tersebut," ujar Andy. "Aku percaya bahwa penonton pasti menyukainya."

"A Simple Life" (2011) diadaptasi dari kehidupan nyata produser Roger Lee dan keluarganya. Dalam film tersebut Andy Lau menjadi pemeran utamanya, Roger.

Selain Andy Lau, aktris cantik Shu Qi juga dinominasikan sebagai untuk perannya dalam "A beautiful Life" (2011). Dalam film tersebut ia berperan sebagai Li Pei Ru seorang agen perumahan yang menjadi simpanan seorang lelaki kaya.

Shu Qi mengaku sangat bersyukur bisa menjadi salah satu nominator untuk penghargaan tersebut. Shu Qi bahkan mengatakan bahwa ia hampir menangis ketika mendengarnya.

"Terima kasih Tuhan! Aku sangat bahagia hingga mau menangis," ujar Shu Qi. "Aku gembira dan sangat berterima kasih pada sutradara Andrew Lau, tanpa dia tidak akan ada Shu Qi dalam 'A Beautiful Life'."

Golden Horse Awards merupakan penghargaan yang diadakan oleh Taiwan untuk mengapresiasi film-film berbahasa Mandarin. Penghargaan tersebut telah diadakan semenjak 1962 dan termasuk ajang bergengsi dalam dunia perfilman China, Hong Kong dan Taiwan. Ajang penghargaan Golden Horse ke-48 tahun ini akan diselenggarakan tanggal 26 November di Hsinchu City, Taiwan.
