Dari sepuluh kategori yang dinominasikan, pelantun hits "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" ini berhasil membawa pulang enam penghargaan Grammy.
WowKeren - Menambah kumpulan berbagai penghargaan yang telah diterimanya, Beyonce Knowles berhasil menang besar di acara penghargaan Grammy Awards 2010. Di acara yang digelar di Staples Center di Los Angeles tanggal 31 Januari tersebut, istri rapper Jay-Z ini menggondol enam penghargaan Grammy dari sepuluh kategori yang dinominasikan.
"Ini merupakan malam yang luar biasa bagi saya," tutur Beyonce seperti dilansir dari Billboard. Malam itu, mantan personil grup musik Destiny's Child ini meraih enam penghargaan diantaranya yakni untuk kategori Song of the Year, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance dan Best R&B Song untuk lagu "Single Ladies (Put A Ring on It)".
Menyusul dibawah Beyonce, penyanyi country muda Taylor Swift berhasil membawa pulang empat penghargaan dari delapan nominasi. Pelantun single "White Horse" ini berhasil menyisihkan para pesaingnya di kategori Best Country Album, Best Female Vocal Country Performance dan Best Country Song.
Selain kedua wanita ini, Kings of Leon juga berhasil mengantongi tiga penghargaan Grammy, masing-masing untuk kategori Best Record of the Year, Best Rock Song dan Best Rock Duo or Group with Vocals. "Kami sedikit mabuk, tetapi kami adalah para pemabuk yang bahagia," ujar vokalis grup band tersebut, Caleb Followill.
