WowKeren - Grammy Awards ke-56 mungkin akan menjadi momen tak terlupakan bagi Daft Punk. Bagimana tidak, duo asal Perancis ini berhasil membawa pulang 5 piala sekaligus dari ajang penghargaan musik bergengsi tersebut.

Dua di antaranya merupakan piala utama, Album of the Year untuk "Random Access Memories" dan Record of the Year berkat "Get Lucky". Ini merupakan prestasi tersendiri untuk genre electronic dance yang jarang memenangkan kategori tersebut.

"Random Access Memories" juga mengantarkan duo beranggotakan Thomas Bangalter dan Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo ini memenangkan kategori Best Dance/Electronica Album dan Engineered Album. Sedangkan "Get Lucky" mengalahkan kolaborasi Pink dan Nate Ruess serta Justin Timberlake dan Jay-Z di Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

"Aku mengucapkan terima kasih atas nama dua robot ini," ujar Pharrell Williams mewakili Daft Punk dan disambut gelak tawa penonton. "Sejujurnya, aku yakin Perancis bangga dengan dua pria ini sekarang."

Sementara itu, piala utama untuk Song of the Year berhasil dibawa pulang Lorde dengan "Royals". Sedangkan kategori Best New Artis dimenangkan oleh duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Grammy Awards 2014 disiarkan langsung dari Staples Center, Los Angeles, Minggu (26/1). Acara ini dipandu oleh LL Cool J serta dimeriahkan oleh artis-artis seperti Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift dan Madonna.
