WowKeren - Ajang penghargaan bergengsi Teen Choice Awards 2011 akan dihelat dalam beberapa bulan lagi. Ini tentu menjadi kabar bahagia bagi para artis dan publik figur lainnya terutama musisi dan penyanyi.

Untuk kategori bidang musik didominasi oleh dua wanita cantik, Selena Gomez dan Katy Perry. Kekasih Justin Bieber itu memimpin beberapa nominasi yakni Choice Music: Group, Choice Music: Single dan Choice Music: Love Song.

Sedangkan istri komedian Russell Brand menjadi nominator untuk tiga kategori sekaligus, diantaranya Choice Music: Female Artist, Choice Music: Single dan Choice Music: Love Song, sebagaimana dilansir dari Huffington Post. Selain itu, Selena dan Katy juga bakal bersaing ketat untuk meraih predikat jawara lewat kategori Choice Music: Single dan Choice Music: Love Song.

Sebagai informasi, Teen Choice Awards 2011 akan digelar Minggu 7 Agustus dan disiarkan langsung stasiun TV Fox. Voting pemenang telah dibuka di situs resmi mulai Rabu 29 Juni. Sejauh ini belum diumumkan nama pemandu acara untuk Teen Choice Awards 2011. Sebelumnya, ajang tahun lalu dipandu oleh Katy Perry.

Teen Choice Awards ini telah lama digelar sejak 1999. Ajang tersebut memberikan penghargaan untuk bidang mode, musik, film, olahraga, televisi dan kategori umum lainnya berdasarkan voting para remaja di kisaran usia 13 hingga 19 tahun.
